U
The letter U has two pronunciations in French, and they're tough ones. UE
The letter combination ue is pronounced with the lips tightly puckered, as if you're saying the French u, but instead make a tight "w" sound. UEIL and UEILL
The letter combinations ueil and ueill, found only after c or g, are pronounced like the oo in "foot" plus a "y" sound. UI
