Appuyer mon travail

Thanks for visiting Lawless French! This website is now and forevermore free to one and all, but if you’d like to support my work, there are several ways you can do so:

1.

Make a monthly donation (at least US$5)

This is the only way to obtain access to the intermediate-advanced mot du jour as well as additional awards like Francophone coloring pages, lessons on request, and private chats with me.

Start by creating your Lawless French membership, which is based on a WordPress account. This means that you can log in right here on the site to read the mot du jour, plus you can use the same account to post on the blog.

Please, if you run into any issues, let me know so that I can figure out what’s wrong.

These other options don’t get access to the mot du jour, but I sure appreciate them anyway!  🙂

2. Buy me a coffee:

3. Make a one-time donation – choose your currency:

4. Buy me a book (preferably for Kindle) or gift card at

5. Buy my book French Workbook for Dummies

6. Send a check (euros or US dollars only) to my mailbox in the US:

I’m so happy you’re here – I hope you enjoy Lawless French!

I would like to support LF by buying Intermediate French for Dummies but Amazon does not seem to allow payment via Paypal. Is there a way around this?

    • lkl 10 March 2018 / 7:44

      Bonjour Bruce,

Thank you for offering to support this site by buying my book. To purchase on Amazon, I think you’d either need a Paypal debit card or Paypal gift certificate.

  3. Steve Davis 16 January 2018 / 17:19

Bonjour Laura. I would love to have access to your intermediate/advanced mot de jour. Is there an option to pay for an entire year up front by mailing you a check (in U.S. $)? If so, could I get the address to mail it to, who to make it out to, and any other info I would need? Merci mille fois for the great work that you do. I’ve been a fan since way back in your French About days. Respectfully, Steve Davis

    • lkl 19 January 2018 / 9:59

Bonjour Steve, thanks so much. 🙂 There is a workaround, I’ll email you.

I need the address where I can send my donation cheque in Euros for LKL.
I also need the name for whom I will make out the cheque. (LKL ?)
Thank you for clarifying the misteries about CE QUI, CE QUE, CE DONT.
None of the expensive “CLE International” books properly explaines them.
I understand the French books I read quicker and rather better now after I digested your lessons about them. ( I do not exagerate, that is true.)
    Thank you.

    Bonjour Mme. Lawless,

Merci encore!

  11. Kim 23 June 2016 / 12:39

Thank you so much Laura! I used to use your guides in about com a lot, and I was aided alot in my french grammar and verb tenses. When I found out that you weren’t on about com anymore I was so shocked, because the website isn’t the same without you. I was so happy to find that you have your own website now, and I can finally access all the verb conjugation tables easily, with all the tenses organized beautifully in one page. Makes life so much easier. Thank you again!

    Hi Ms. (F)Lawless,
You have helped me more than you could imagine in my three years of French. I made an account so I could thank you for allowing me to improve my comprehension and speaking abilities in this beautiful language. I have one question though. What does the K. stand for in your name?

    • lkl 5 December 2014 / 10:14

      Bonjour Jack,

      You’re very welcome!

The K stands for Kismet. 🙂

      Bonne continuation !

Hi – Thanks so much for helping me with my French. I have lots more to learn, so I would like to contribute to help you stay motivated with your endeavors. Maybe eating well is a way to do that. Is the hard cover vegan book from Amazon OK? Also need your address to send it to. After you get it and try some of the recipes, I would be interested in your opinions, possibly as an audio in French. Merci beaucoup.

    • lkl 2 November 2014 / 6:08

      Bonjour Tony,

You’re welcome, and thanks for offering to buy me a book! Amazon has my address, so if you order it through my Amazon wishlist, they’ll send it to me.

I have a veggie website where I put all of my favorite recipes and review cookbooks: https://www.theveggietable.com

      Bonne continuation !

Merci bien – glad you like it! The easiest way to send a donation is via Stripe using the link above. If you’d rather send a check, please let me know and I’ll email you my mailing address.

      Bonne continuation !

On behalf of my students, I thank you for all you have done to promote French in the US. I require my students to subscribe to your (old and now new) site. I wish you luck in this new adventure which will certainly be successful.

  17. David 22 June 2014 / 22:19

Après quelques années de votre ancien site, je vous souhaite bonne chance. J’ai acheté un livre de votre liste. Merci.

  18. Amber Flake 15 June 2014 / 10:08

I really love these little tidbits of knowledge…they are a great stepping stone to my goal of daily learning and studying of the French language. I already speak Portuguese, and have struggled to keep the two languages separate in my mind. But, I moved to Switzerland 6 months ago, and have a strong desire/obsession to learn French. With 6 children, it can be hard to find the time, but your website makes a fabulous supplement to my weekly French classes. Thank you!

  19. Sharon 11 June 2014 / 14:29

I really like how you do the Reading Practice, with the blurred translation. It’s an excellent way for me to learn. Merci beaucoup!

  20. KEVIN 10 June 2014 / 11:55

Hi Laura…thank you for all the French lessons and tips through the years. I’m looking forward to following your new site! I’m also happy to be a pledging supporter to help enable your most excellent work!

  22. Janet 9 June 2014 / 14:33

    Dear Laura,

A massive thank you for all you did on the previous site 🙂
It is wonderful to see you here with your new site and I wish you all the success & happiness you deserve. I loved how you answered me personally when I emailed you a question a while back and that you really care about the people you teach.
Your new site looks really exciting and amazing already!! I can’t wait to continue following you on here and expanding my knowledge of the beautiful French language and also the culture of France too.
P.S. I tried to buy one of your ‘wish list’ books but I only have a UK Amazon account and it wouldn’t let me purchase on the ‘.com’ one!!
    Merci et bon courage, Janet.

    • lkl 9 June 2014 / 14:37

      Bonjour Janet,

You’re very welcome, and thank you! I’ve been pouring a lot of time into this site for the last week to make sure that there’s a little something for everyone. Another week or so and I’ll feel pretty good about settling down into a more sustainable pace. 🙂 Bonne continuation !

Laura, these French lessons are the absolute best of any language instruction in any language I have ever seen. Thank you. I hope the links will still be available on french about com as they are a treasure. On the chance that these lessons will disappear can they be permanently be saved on MY computer as opposed to my (Yahoo) email and About’s cloud?

  47. [email protected] 3 June 2014 / 23:50

    Laura,
I “discovered” you my first year of teaching French. Your site was a lifesaver as I went about trying to drag up what I hadn’t done anything with for 40 years! How ironic—poetic almost—that you’re heading off in a new direction just as I, too, am leaving the area of my “major” love to make room for a much younger, more orally fluent teacher. I’ll still be “visiting”, though. I love French and I love to learn! Bonne chance!-Leslie Paterson

  48. betty heycke 3 June 2014 / 23:46

I will continue to follow you. You are my favorite French teacher! Keep up the good work.
