Does connaître require the subjunctive?
Connaître (quelqu’un) qui may require the subjunctive, depending on whether it is used affirmatively, negatively, or interrogatively:
Par exemple…
Je connais quelqu’un qui est végétarien.
I know someone who is vegetarian.Je ne connais personne qui soit végétarien.
I don’t know anyone who is vegetarian.Connais-tu quelqu’un qui soit végétarien ?
Do you know anyone who is vegetarian?
