The future perfect is a compound verb form, which means its conjugation has two components:

| 1. | auxiliary (avoir or être) | future |
| 2. | main verb | past participle |
Par exemple…
Avoir verb: donner (to give)
| j’aurai donné |
| tu auras donné |
| il aura donné |
| elle aura donné |
| nous aurons donné |
| vous aurez donné |
| ils auront donné |
| elles auront donné |
Être verb: sortir (to go out)
| je serai sorti(e) |
| tu seras sorti(e) |
| il sera sorti |
| elle sera sortie |
| nous serons sorti(e)s |
| vous serez sorti(e)(s) |
| ils seront sortis |
| elles seront sorties |
Pronominal verb: s’habiller (to get dressed)
| je me serai habillé(e) |
| tu te seras habillé(e) |
| il se sera habillé |
| elle se sera habillée |
| nous nous serons habillé(e)s |
| vous vous serez habillé(e)(s) |
| ils se seront habillés |
| elles se seront habillées |
Past participle agreement
As in all compound conjugations, the past participle in the future perfect may need to agree in gender and number with the word it modifies – learn more.
