As AI takes over content creation (and endless other tasks and activities), it's natural to wonder whether I'm using it here at Lawless French. The short answer is: a tiny bit. For the long answer, keep reading.

One day, I was idly thinking about French questions that get asked over and over, and inspiration struck: why not create a one-stop resource for lessons, practice exercises, and related content for those knotty topics? And thus Lawless French
à fond was born.

I put everything I can into this site, but some other sites offer extraordinary features far beyond what I am capable of creating myself. I partnered with one to create a co-branded version in order to bring their special features to my readers.

Lawless French is three years old today, and I think it's becoming a really useful site. Here's what's been happening.

Bonjour tout le monde !
Lawless French is always free, but the time I spend on it is considerable. If you're enjoying the daily features and minimal advertising on this site - not to mention
The Subjunctivisor! - please consider
making a donation. I've just added various rewards you can claim based on certain pledges - check it out! :-)

This free website is packed with resources for students of all levels - where to begin? Here's a quick overview.

Two years ago, I gave up my 15-year position teaching virtual French with a dotcom in order to continue teaching virtual French on my own site. I briefly entertained the idea of doing something completely different, but found that I couldn't. The fact is that I feel compelled to write about French - I love it and I'm good at it, so what else could I possibly do?

I have a little favor to ask of you... if you like this site (and I think it's fair to assume you do, since you're here!), I'd love for you to share it with family, friends, and classmates who are learning or want to learn French.

3 December 2014 marks the half anniversary of Lawless French, born when I decided to give up my 15-year freelance position and pour my efforts into my own site instead.

For some reason, my good-bye note was removed from my old site, so I am republishing it here for anyone who didn't get a chance to read it.
