Does il est fort probable / c’est fort probable require the subjunctive?
Il est fort probable / C’est fort probable may require the subjunctive, depending on whether it is used affirmatively, negatively, or interrogatively:
Par exemple…
Il est fort probable / C’est fort probable qu’il pleut.
It’s very probable that it will rain.Il n’est pas fort probable / Ce n’est pas fort probable qu’il pleuve.
It’s not very probable that it will rain.Est-il fort probable / Est-ce fort probable qu’il pleuve ?
Is is very probable that it will rain?
Il est / C’est fort probable is an impersonal expression.
