The Subjunctivisor!
Does ignorer require the subjunctive?
Normally, ignorer does not take the subjunctive.
However, according to Le Bon Usage, the subjunctive is possible, especially when used in the affirmative or in the past.
Par exemple…
Ma famille ignore que je suis / sois fiancé.
My family doesn’t know that I’m engaged.
