Does admettre require the subjunctive?
Admettre may require the subjunctive, depending on whether it is used affirmatively, negatively, or interrogatively:
Par exemple…
J’admets qu’Alain est paresseux.
I admit that Alain is lazy.Je n’admets pas qu’Alain soit paresseux.
I don’t admit that Alain is lazy.Admets-tu qu’Alain soit paresseux ?
Do you admit that Alain is lazy?
