Usage notes: When you can’t or don’t want to be too specific, the French expression à peu près can help you estimate or roughly guess at an amount.

Par exemple…

Je pèse à peu près 70 kilos. Je pèse 70 kilos, à peu près.		I weigh about 70 kilos.
Ça coûte à peu près 25€.		It costs approximately 25 euros.
J’ai un fils qui a à peu près votre âge.		I have a son who’s around your age.
