French consonant

The letter T is pronounced similarly to T in English, except that it is dental rather than alveolar (see consonant lesson, "place of articulation"). Phonetic symbol: [t].

In the letter combination vowel plus TI plus unaccented vowel, T is pronounced like an S. Phonetic symbol: [s].
