Does il est vrai / c’est vrai  require the subjunctive?

Il est vrai / C’est vrai may require the subjunctive, depending on whether it is used affirmatively, negatively, or interrogatively:

Par exemple…

Il est vrai / C’est vrai qu’elle va en Égypte.
It’s true that she’s going to Egypt.

Il n’est pas vrai / Ce n’est pas vrai qu’elle aille en Égypte.
It’s not true that she’s going to Egypt.

Est-il vrai / Est-ce vrai qu’elle aille en Égypte ?
Is it true that she’s going to Egypt?

 
Il est / C’est vrai is an impersonal expression.
