Translation

Take one of the narrow and picturesque lanes that lead you to a small plaza, which you can use as a departure point to get to the center of town. But you’ll soon arrive at your destination as Riquewihr’s dimensions are quite small, since only 1,200 people live there.

Translation

According to local legend, the Three Kings gave kougelhopf to a Mr. Kugel in exchange for his hospitality, when, worn out by their travels from Bethlehem to Cologne, they stopped in the Alsatian village of Ribeauvillé and were taken in by this inhabitant, a worthy representative of this delightful region considered one of the most beautiful in France.
